Play For The Love Of The Game

We received this from Coach Sheila.  While she does not know the source to credit, she believes (and so do we) that this is a good thing to post for our Viper Families:

For parents, words of advice when navigating the (Club Softball) waters.

#1 find a PROGRAM, not a team (for kids over 12yrs old)

#2 trust the process, don’t battle the coaches every step of the way

#3 don’t gossip; have a question- go to the coach directly

#4 if your child isn’t tested mentally, constantly, they won’t reach potential. The easy route is never the answer.

#5 this game is hard, it’s negative a lot of the time, your child (and you) must learn to deal with adversity

#6 hold your child accountable

#7 the game weeds players out, not coaches. KNOW THIS, AND ALWAYS REMEMBER IT!

PLAY FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME, NOT TROPHIES AND NOT ACCOLADES!!
