Sheila Serafin Goulding
Director/ Commissioner, Futures Program and 10u:

Sheila is a professional educator and HS coach, entering her 8th year
with the Vipers directing our Futures and 10u levels. She jumps in and
assists as needed, coaching various levels up to and including our
showcase teams. Sheila has coached every Viper level from through
18U Premier showcase and will ensure that the Futures/ 10U level is
preparing for not just their current season, but laying the
groundowork for next season. Sheila is the escalation point for all
parents, coaches and players at the Futures and 10u levels.

Chris Gildea, 10U Head Coach

With a tenure of 6 years at the helm of River Edge Softball, both in the travel and recreational realms,
Chris Gildea has become a cornerstone of the community’s athletic development. Under his guidance,
the young athletes of the 3rd and 4th grade teams triumphed in the Bergen Softball Championship,
showcasing their skill and determination. The winning continued as the 10u Travel team clinched a
commendable second place in the Summer Bergen League.
Chris’s coaching philosophy is rooted in a deep-seated passion for the sport, coupled with a
commitment to motivation and education. His approach goes beyond the diamond; it’s about nurturing
a lasting love for the game and fostering personal growth in every player. We are so excited to bring his
passion, experience and leadership to the Vipers!

 Gabriella Ramundo, 10u Associate Head Coach

Gabriella ‘Gabs’ Ramundo, 10u. This is her first year with the Vipers Organization, but as a coach!
She is a proud founding member of the North Jersey Vipers Organization! Gabbie is a 2019
graduate of Northern Valley Old Tappan Regional High School where she played on the varsity
softball team as an outfielder, winning titles of the 2017 State Sectionals and 2019 Bergen County
Championship. She is a 2023 graduate of High Point University, in NC, where I played softball for 4
years, named captain for the 2022-23 season, and was awarded Player of the Week in the MidAtlantic South Conference League for that same season. After college, she coached the 10u
Ridgefield Girls Rec. Softball, and currently work as a Paralegal. “I am so excited to be back with the
Vipers (but as a coach) and cannot wait to start the season with the organization and people who
helped developed me into a great player and person that I am today:)!”

Brianna Schryver, 12u White Head Coach

This is Brianna’s 4th year with the Viper Organization. She moves up to 12u after coaching the 10u level the past 3 years. Brianna played club softball for the Rockland County Stix & Rockland Thunder from 12-18 years old. She was a 4 year varsity starter for Spring Valley High School, where she played third base and pitcher. She earned AllLeague and All County honors, as well as the Rockland Journal News Scholar Athlete of the Week. After high school, Brianna was recruited by St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, NY where she was a 4-year starter and 2-year captain for the Spartans. Brianna is a member of the STAC 100 Hit Club for achieving over 120 hits throughout her collegiate softball career and was also recognized as a member of STAC’s All Decade Team for the 2000s. After college, Brianna went on to coach both JV and Varsity teams for Spring Valley High School. She also coached both 12U & 14U teams for the Rockland Thunder, where she won several tournaments and qualified for and participated in National Tournaments. Brianna is a professional educator in the Tenafly school district

 Joe Perrone, Assistant Coach

Coach Joe grew up in a baseball family. He played competitively throughout high school. His love for the
game has continued as he gets to coach his two daughters at club and rec levels. Coach Joe is heavily
involved in his local softball program and if he’s not traveling the world for work he is on the diamond
somewhere.

Victoria Villanueva, Head Coach, 12u Black

Victoria Villanueva, also known as Coach Vicky or “Vicky Vails”, is in her 2nd season with the Vipers, and her first as a Head Coach. Vicky was an Asst Coach with our 12u RWB in 2023/24. From the ages of 12 to 18, Vic actively participated in club softball with Top Gun Fastpitch . She had an impressive high school career as a first baseman and catcher, serving as a 4-year varsity starter and captain for Coach Calabrese at Bergen Tech High School. Her outstanding performance earned her both All League and All County honors. Coach Vicky is also the Head Coach for the River Dell JV program

 Mike Stankowitz, Associate Head Coach, 12u Black

Coach Mike enters his fourth year with the NJ Vipers. A Muhlenberg College graduate, Coach Mike brings a great intensity to our organization and team. He has been instrumental in both developing and recruiting for this team, whose core has been together the past 3 years. Mike also coaches in the Montvale Softball Association, where he has won several tournaments and titles.

 Bill Allen, Associate Head Coach, 12u Black

Coach Billy is an assistant coach with 12u Black this year. In addition to this being his third year with the Vipers, he has spent the last 11 years coaching middle school and varsity softball and volleyball at Park Ridge High School, where his family also resides. Coach Billy won NJIC Patriot Division Coach of the Year for PRHS in softball in 2022 and volleyball in 2023. Coach Billy loves spending time with his family and competing and coaching on any field, court or golf course and is looking forward to an amazing 2024-2025 campaign with the Vipers!

Nick Franolic, Head Coach, 14u White

Coach Nick enters his third year as a head coach and is in his fourth year coaching in the Vipers organization. He was a student-athlete at William Paterson University, where he played baseball and earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Today, Nick serves as a law enforcement officer with over 20 years of experience, which includes training members of his department and instructing at the county police academy. He resides in Park Ridge and was the Co-Commissioner of the Park Ridge Athletic Association Softball Program and a Board of Trustee member for the Park Ridge Athletic Association for several years. His daughter Sofia has been apart of the organization since she was 9 years old.

Lindsey Germano, Associate Head Coach, 14u White

This is Lindsey’s 4th year as a coach with this group of Vipers. Lindsey is part of the founding Vipers class of 2018 (“The Filthy Few”) and played in the program for our first 7 years of existence. She was a 16u state champion with the Vipers and a state sectional champion for Northern Valley/ Old Tappan. She was a 1st team all League and All County honors player in her high school career, as well as team captain her senior year. She is a ‘22 graduate of Seton Hall University with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. Lindsey is an elementary school teacher in Dumont, NJ.

 Nick Squitieri, Asst Coach, 14u White:

Nick has been coaching softball for 7 years and is entering his 4th year as an assistant coach with the Vipers. Nick is a proud father of three daughters and lives in New City NY. Nick works in the finance industry, graduated from Clarkstown North where he played baseball and hockey as well as played hockey at Fordham University. Despite a busy schedule, he still finds time to play men’s league softball and golf. Nick’s oldest daughter Madison has been with the organization since she was 9 years old.

Carley Santangelo, Head Coach, 14u RWB

Carley Santangelo, a recent Montclair State University graduate, brings her experience as a former catcher and second baseman from Ridgewood High School. With four years of involvement with the Ridgewood Softball Association and the NJ Vipers, she has successfully coached 12u and 14u teams. Her coaching style and deep knowledge of the game, pushes her athletes to constantly improve on and
off the field.

Kevin Malley, Asst Coach, 14u RWB:

Kevin was a 3 year varsity baseball player at North Rockland High School. During that time, he won 2 state championships and 3 regional titles. While at North Rockland Kevin received all league, all county and all section honors.
Kevin went on to play baseball at the College of Saint Rose. For the past 25 years Kevin has been teaching 5th grade and coaching baseball at North Rockland. Many of his players have gone on to play college and professional baseball. During this time, he has also worked at several softball and baseball camps including two summers working for the Federation of Italian Baseball and Softball (FIBS) in Rimini, Italy. This is Kevin’s 7th year coaching softball and his second season with the
Vipers.

 Greg Schanck, Head Coach, 16u

Greg Schanck enters his 6th season with the Vipers and 5th as a Head Coach, all with this core group of players. Coach Greg is a highly accomplished former collegiate baseball player and a seasoned coach with an impressive track record. He played for Oneonta State from 1996 to 2000, where he excelled as a versatile player, taking on roles as a right fielder (RF), first baseman (1B), and left-handed pitcher (LHP). Greg was named Player of the Year twice and making the All-Conference team four times. He was also a two-time MVP and served as the team captain for two years. Greg’s name is etched in the history books at Oneonta State as the all-time leader in RBIs. Additionally, he ranks in the top five all-time in several key categories, including batting average, hits, runs, and doubles. After his illustrious playing career, Greg transitioned into coaching, where he has continued to make an impact, leading this team with the same passion and dedication that marked his playing days.

 Frank Mariconti, Associate HC, 16u

 Coach Mariconti grew up in Washington Twp,NJ and spent much of his early childhood attending the Pro Scout School of Baseball in Waldwick, NJ. When he was older, he became an instructor there for five years. In High School, he attended Saint Joseph Regional in Montvale where he became an AllState, All League, and All-County Player. He later received a baseball athletic scholarship to Dominican College in Blauvelt. In 1996, Mariconti played in the College World Series in Sioux Falls, IA. Mariconti was instructed by some of the best coaches including former professional Baseball players and several instructors from The New York Yankees organization. He resides in Westwood, NJ. Frank has over 9 years’ experience coaching girls’ softball.
Meg Wei

Meg Weis, Asst Coach, 16u:

 Coach Meg is a founding member of the Vipers & a 2019 graduate of NV/OT High School where she was an All-County player and won both State Sectional and County Championships. Meg was a 3 sport athlete in high school & also won state championships in basketball. She is a 2023 graduate of Stonehill College, where she played softball all four years while majoring in Education. She is currently an elementary school teacher in Closter and in her second year coaching with the Vipers. Meg’s dad Craig was a founding member and was President of the Vipers for our first 8 years.

Steve Olshalsky, Head Coach, 18u

Steve has been a leader in the Ramsey Softball Organization, played baseball at WPU & coached softball at the college level. Steve enters his 7th season as a coach with the Vipers and his 3rd at the 18u level. He has done and does an exemplary job with his team and is part of the senior advisory board for the Vipers. Steve’s combined experience as a player, coach, dad & HS Principal brings unmatched perspective to our organization and players. Steve’s daughter Julianna plays for the 18u team and daughter Kacey, Vipers Class of ‘24, is a freshman at University of SC.

Dino Eliopoulos, Associate HC, 18u

 Coach Dino is in his 6th season with the Vipers, moving up from 16u to our 18u team. Coach Dino has won several softball league titles with Midland Park HS, getting to the State Sectional championship game. He is also a very accomplished and successful wrestling and football coach. Coach Dino only coaches with the Vipers now, as he is the Athletic Director ay Ridgefield Park HS. Dino brings a ton of experience at all levels and is a major asset to this organization.

Jerry Mercadante, Commissioner and Asst Coach, 18u:

Jerry enters his 11th year with the Vipers. He is an Asst Coach for the 18u team and our Commissioner for the 12U-18u levels. Jerry is an established, professional, winning coach and knows the Viper way of doing things, having coached the Vipers from 12u through 18u Premier. Jerry had two daughters play for the Vipers (Leah, ‘18 and Emma, ‘21) and his youngest, Emma is currently a Senior pitcher for Immaculata University. Jerry is a teacher at Manchester HS, and the Head Softball Coach for Eastern Christian. He graduated from N Highlands HS and played baseball at Rutgers University
